Beneath the swirling leaves, messages wait to be revealed: deeply personal stories, signs, and symbols just for you. In this immersive class, you’ll learn how to prepare the tea, work with traditional teacups, and begin interpreting the shapes and patterns left behind after the final sip.
We’ll explore the history and mystery of this time-honored divination practice which goes back to the days of the Silk Road; discuss how to build your personal symbol lexicon; and most importantly, how to trust your intuition as the images take shape.
Whether you're a total beginner or tea-curious, this workshop will leave you enchanted, inspired, and ready to start cultivating your own tasseography practice.

Rissa Miller is a Serpent's Key regular with a lifelong divination practice. She started learning tarot cards as part of a family tradition at age 8. Her love of tea guided her to tasseography by 16. She has been gazing into cups ever since. Rissa is best known as a public historian, exploring all topics dark and mysterious throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
